Smart devices @ Edge

Internet of Things (IoT) systems that react to the event nearer to the source

Smart Internet of Things (IoT) devices can react to the events derived from the data collected, for quicker response, and minimize the latency due to round trip from the edge to the central processing.

For example, once the IoT system detected anomalies in the temperature of the heater room, an event can be sent to the building management system to send an alarm to the operation, focus the security camera on the location, and request for manual intervention of triggering the localized fire extinguishing system.

Smart short-term parking in Airport

You were rushing to receive an important guests that will be arriving early. You were driving to the airport. The journey was smooth and you were actually 15 minutes early. But you had to spend 30 minutes looking for parking lot.
We built a connected parking system for the short term airport parking to improve the experience, including a dashboard to show how many empty lots for each floor of the multi-storey carpark, directional sign at each turning, and the indicator of empty lots.

Smart elevator system

6-dof sensors were installed on elevators to measure the vibration, misalignment and jitters during elevator move, and the telemetrics are transmitted over LORA to nearby receiver that sends to cloud for anomalies detections. This system helped reduced the downtime of the elevator by 40% through active monitoring and active maintenance.

Smart building system

Building management is required to continue the operation but remotely. A cloud-based smart building system allows the operations to be conducted out of the building, with the building management system of various buildings connected. The system remained effective post-pandemic for the improvement of operation by 30%.
